ACTivate is a monthly show brought to you by the Christchurch branch of Amnesty International Aotearoa/New Zealand, an organisation dedicated to campaigning for human rights.
Since its inception in 1961, Amnesty International has grown into an organisation of over 7 million people in 150 countries, all united by their desire to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights, and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.
ACTivate covers human rights stories from New Zealand and abroad, and reports on the good news of human rights victories. Interviews with individuals whose role or work is somehow connected to human rights give a more personal perspective on human rights in Canterbury. The show also includes some music that the presenters enjoy, and they hope you will enjoy it too!
Presented by Stefan, Catherine, Kerry and Greg, ACTivate hopes to inspire you to begin or continue to fight for human rights, and raise awareness in our local community of Christchurch.
Join the team from 9.30pm on the third Monday of every month, or listen to the podcasts for an update of what Amnesty International is up to in Christchurch, the latest developments in human rights issues around the globe, interviews, success stories and how you can get involved defending human rights.
