Mad, Mad World is a monthly show produced by MHAPS. Airing on the first Tuesday of every month, we take a critical look at social issues that intersect with mental health and addiction. From topics like housing, debt, and climate change, to issues in the mainstream psychiatric industry, and the kinds of activist work and grass root initiatives that aim to improve lives through meaningful social change. Mad, Mad World invites listeners to look beneath the symptoms of illness to broaden our understanding of mental health and recovery by looking at the social causes of trauma and distress.
MHAPS (Mental Health Advocacy and Peer Support) is a free and confidential, peer-led community mental health and addiction service in Ōtautahi.
