The Nerd Degree

The Nerd Degree is a homegrown pop-culture / fascinating facts /esoteric arcana comedy panel show and podcast, created by Christchurch-based writer and improvisor Brendon Bennetts, and currently recorded live each month at Little Andromeda theatre. Each themed episode sees teams of Ōtautahi academics, comedians, and creative types - plus all sorts of special guests - battle it out in front of a studio audience to see who is the wittiest nerd and the nerdiest wit. Having recorded its first episode in 2014, the show is set to bring up its 100th in 2023. Now broadcast on PlainsFM Saturday night at 9pm.
