A Belch on Sport
Opinionated, a sports encyclopedia… whatever you want to call him, Mark Belcher is the sports guru of Plains FM. Not just your average rah-rah sports talk programme, this has a variety of creative features, skits, poems and of course, the odd heated debate. Enjoy sports discussions between Belch, co-presenter, Paddy Holder and guests and the chance to win a bottle of wine.
About Mark: My background in sport includes many years as a full-time tennis coach, four years on tennis scholarship in Texas; first XI cricket and soccer and fluctuating fortunes on the golf course (currently a seven handicap). My passion for the teams I support (Liverpool, Warriors, Black Caps, All Blacks) and NZ individuals doing well in sport are celebrated in this show.
Paddy joins me most weeks to add his irreverent views on sporting matters. We don’t always agree but that’s what makes the show more interesting and keeps us on our toes. (Which you should do on the tennis court as well!)
