L-R: Mark Belcher, Garry (Gaz) Thomas, Ed Swift

Plains FM is proud to announce it has three finalists in this year's NZ Radio Awards.

Mark Belcher is a finalist in the Best Spoken/Informational English Language Programme for his show A Belch on Sport . This 25 minute weekly sports show covers a variety of sporting interests in half an hour, not just the usual rugby, cricket and racing. "I also utilise my creative side and have come up with a few characters to give a different slant on sporting matters!" says Mark

Detox Mans!on , put together by Garry (Gaz) Thomas, Georgie Stylianou and Steve Millar , is a finalist in the Best Music Programme in Any Language category. Gaz has a long held and strong appreciation of music, which led him to the door of Plains FM. Along with Georgie’s 1001 and The Man from Hari Hari (Steve), they present a programme that is interesting, informative and fun.

And also Mornings host Ed Swift is a finalist in the Best New Broadcaster - Air Personality category. Ed has been producing Plains FM Mornings since December 2008 and in August 2009 he started presenting the hour and a half show as well as doing the behind the scenes work and working with many of our broadcasters.

Winners are annouced on April 29 and a vidcast announcing the winners will be available online at radioawards.co.nz . Congratulations to all our finalists!
