Thirteen New Zealand organisations, including Plains FM, have received awards from the Human Rights Commission in recognition of their outstanding contribution to cultural diversity and race relations. The awards were part of the 2010 New Zealand Diversity Forum, in Christchurch, on Monday 23 August.
The award winners were selected from over 250 organisations participating in the New Zealand Diversity Action Programme, a group facilitated by the Human Rights Commission to promote harmonious race relations in New Zealand.
The 2010 Diversity Award winners from Canterbury were: Plains FM 96.9, Hagley Community College, Christchurch City Libraries, Te Rūnanga o Ngai Tahu and Pacific Underground Inc
