The Legacy Women In Music Series features four Christchurch women in music whose lives, both personal/professional, are showcased in radio/podcast format. The episodes are meant to add to the herstory of women in Canterbury, so that these stories are not lost to future generations. The women in this four-part series have each made their musical mark on the New Zealand folk, jazz, blues and acoustic scene and, in most cases, are performing and creating material into their 60's and 70's.
These episodes are made possible through a funding grant by The Christchurch Foundation Women's Fund (Te Ira Waahine o Otautahi) and support through community access radio, Plains FM 96.9 (Christchurch)
